A little about myself

I grew up in Plano,
Texas. I always drew and sketched, even when very little,
but I did not pick up painting until I was in my twenties.
My mom had always painted when I was little, and she and I, along
with my sister, decided to take some community classes.
It was oils at
first... until 1995, when my husband, a Youth Pastor in Plano, and
I took a group of young people to Paris, France. While
visiting Montmarte, we picked up a small watercolor done by an
English artist living in France. I talked with the artist
and felt really inspired to give watercolors a try.
With the help of an
accomplished Plano artist,
Priscilla Krejci, and some other ladies who took Priscilla's
class, I discovered the magic of watercolors and was hooked.
I have been fortunate
to both travel and live overseas, due to my husband's work.
We have lived in the Paris region and also in Central
France. My husband Steve, myself, and
our two children, Steven and Rachel, have had the privilege of working with wonderful
people within the
United Pentecostal Church International and enjoyed serving in
the nation of France.
We now live in the
Dallas, Texas area where we continue to serve in ministry, and I
pursue the wonder of personal expression through art. |
